Ways to make money using twitter

Twitter is fun. Follow me. I tweet awesome.
And you can actually use it to make money.
It’s a powerful platform in itself, and doesn’t just have to be a conduit for marketing another site or product.
All you need is a Twitter account that is geared towards a profitable niche – like making money online, online education, and so on – and a large number of followers who are interested in that niche. Then you need to cultivate a good relationship with your followers, so that they like you and trust you.
After that, you can try these 4 ways to make money using Twitter:

1. Affiliate Marketing

If you’re into affiliate marketing, Twitter is a potential goldmine for you.
However, it should not be your only sales platform. You’ll want to use other social media tools as well, and don’t limit usage of your Twitter account to just tweeting your sales pitches.
Twitter can be a very powerful marketing tool, but you have to understand how it works. When you use Twitter, you get to see all the tweets of people you follow on a long timeline, updated in real-time.
People don’t want to see their Twitter feed clogged with sales pitch-type posts.
Try posting commentary, retweets, videos, images, or even personal thoughts. Build that relationship with your audience, and limit your sales posts to once or twice a day.

2. Get Paid To Tweet

If you have a lot of followers, at least 100 tweets, and an account that is at least a month old, you can sign up for ad services like Sponsored Tweets or MyLikes. You will be paid per click for ads that you tweet to your followers.

Some ad services might do something different though, like ask to use your account to publicize a campaign to your followers. In which case you won’t be paid per click, but through one lump sum, which is also good.

3. Be Creative

A lot of businesses, whether online or not, are getting more and more creative in how they connect with others through social media.
Communication on social media is different, because it’s like a two-way conversation – or sometimes with multiple people involved.
This allows us to get a little more creative.
Come up with campaigns or competitions, and get your followers involved. Ask them for feedback, or creative input, like asking them to design a new logo for you, or write you a product description. This may not lead directly to making sales, but it will increase your visibility on Twitter, as well as your followers’ brand loyalty.

4. Find Leads & Offer Value

Make use of Twitter’s search function (or try a social media management platform, like HootSuite and others) to find leads.
Search for keywords or phrases that your target audience might use in their Tweets, or that they might search for.
This will enable you to find a lot of potential leads.
Because Twitter has millions of users with diverse interests, there are definitely people who would be interested in what you have to offer. But they don’t know you exist, and may not know how to find you.
So you have to reach out to them.
We don’t want to look suspicious though, so use Twitter’s @ to contact possible leads, and use a soft sell while letting them know that you found them through Twitter.
